At the age of 23 I went on my first ocean voyage. A crew member and student, I accompanied my business partner, Ronn Phillips, on a journey around the Greek Islands of the Aegean Sea. I fell in Love!

On graduating with my MS, my thoughts were of the sea. Interior Design had given me a wealth of knowledge about operating and designing 'for confined spaces,' and there are few spaces more confined than crew quarters on sea-going vessels. I set my sights on becoming a crew member and participated, then managed, a number of roles, from housekeeping to whatever, whatever.

After XXX years, I was looking for a land-based career, and found my niche in crew recruitment. I bring an understanding of the mega-yacht world to my work as a recruiter, and my knowledge of how difficult it is to keep qualified crew members led me back to work with Ronn, who helped create the original Family Regime Scale. That scale has been augmented on several occasions, from Family to Corporate, and now, to Crews.
